Read “Harrison Bergeron”. it’s a short story, available for read on the internet. It shows you a world in which everyone is equal. just google it.
It’s not about sinking everyone to the lowest ladder. It’s not about taking our rights to think.
I know it’s stupid to wish away sadness. After all, how can we know happiness if we don’t feel sadness, disappointment, or pain? How can we know what we truly love if we don’t also feel anger?
I just wish it didn’t have to be that way, too.
